Old job / new job

Friday was my last day as IT Manager. I decided to take the Office Services Manager job and I officially transfer on Monday.

I've been on IT for over 16 years, so it's going to be a real culture shock to be working on a 'normal' team and with limited access to the IT system. Also, instead of having management responsibility for just one other person, I'll have nine staff reporting to me.

I suppose that because I'm only moving to another office on the same floor, and I know all the people on my new team already, I don't feel quite as disturbed by this potential change as I would if it was a completely new job with a new company. And I've worked with two of the staff before when they were on the IT team previously.

So, I expected to feel more emotional about moving off IT but now it seems a bit of an anticlimax.
